The laboratory became a central laboratory on 27 January 2017. Specimen acceptance, biochemistry, hormone, hematology, blood gas, advanced testing and emergency laboratory sections work in coordination.
Samples such as blood, urine and cerebrospinal fluid are checked at specimen acceptance and directed to the appropriate work area. Results undergo quality-control procedures and are transferred to the system after authorization by qualified specialists.
Request and specimen details are checked.
The specimen enters the appropriate testing process.
Results are assessed by an authorized specialist.
Authorized results are published in the patient portal.
