Patient Rights
- The right to benefit from health services within the framework of justice and patient rights.
- The right to receive information about how to benefit from the institution's services.
- The right to request that priority be determined according to medical criteria (for example, emergency cases, forensic cases and persons with disabilities).
- The right to request diagnosis and treatment in accordance with modern medical knowledge and technology.
- The right to consent to every intervention to be performed on the patient's body.
- The right to receive information about one's health condition.
- The right to request respect for privacy.
- Except where legally required, the right to refuse or discontinue treatment, with responsibility for any adverse consequences resting with the patient.
- The right to expect and request safety while receiving services.

Patient Responsibilities
- Individuals should do their best to protect their health and follow recommendations for a healthy life.
- Where appropriate, individuals may donate blood or organs.
- Patients must report changes in their health, social security and personal information without delay.
- Patients must provide complete and accurate information about previous illnesses, inpatient treatment, current medicines and all other relevant health information.
- Patients must comply with the rules and practices of the health institution to which they apply.
- Patients must follow the referral pathway defined by social security institutions.
- Patients are expected to cooperate with health professionals during treatment, care and rehabilitation.
- Patients receiving an appointment-based service must attend on the scheduled date and time and notify the relevant unit of any changes.
- Patients must respect the rights of hospital staff, other patients and visitors.
- Patients should listen carefully to advice about treatment and medicines and ask about anything they do not understand.
- If a patient is unable to follow treatment recommendations, the patient must inform the health professional.
- Patients must indicate whether they have correctly understood the treatment and post-discharge care plan.
- Patients are responsible for consequences arising from refusing treatment or not following recommendations.
