The Adult Burn Unit began providing care in 2010 and operates in accordance with the national requirements for burn treatment units and centers.
The unit provides controlled inpatient and intensive-care facilities for adult burn patients. Its services cover initial assessment, resuscitation, intensive monitoring, surgical treatment, wound care, infection prevention, nutritional support, physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
Care is delivered by physicians, nurses and support professionals experienced in burn treatment. Patients are followed through a coordinated plan that is adapted to burn depth, affected body surface, associated injuries and individual clinical needs.
