Our kidney transplantation program is delivered by a multidisciplinary team coordinated by transplant surgeons. The team includes specialists in nephrology, pediatric nephrology, anesthesiology, cardiology, urology, interventional radiology and infectious diseases, together with tissue-typing laboratory staff, transplant nurses and transplant coordinators.
Since 2010, our unit has successfully performed kidney transplantation for both adult and pediatric patients using organs from deceased or living donors. Laparoscopic donor surgery is used when clinically appropriate to improve donor comfort and recovery.
Services
- Evaluation and follow-up of adult and pediatric patients before transplantation
- Assessment of living donors and patients on the deceased-donor waiting list
- Kidney transplantation and multidisciplinary inpatient care
- Long-term post-transplant follow-up, medication management and patient education
Every candidate and donor is assessed individually. Treatment and follow-up plans are prepared according to current clinical requirements and the patient's medical condition.
