Current Approaches in Diabetes Nursing Course Launched
The course of current approaches in the Nursery of Diabetes, hosted by the Inonu University, started at the Turgut Ozal Congress and Cultural Center Blue Hall. The course, which will be held from 23 to 24 September, aims to share up-to-date information in the field of diabetes nursing and the professional development of healthcare workers.
The coordinator of the event was Professor Dr. Gönül Gül Er, Director of Nursing Services at the Turgut Ozal Medical Center of Rukuye Aylaz and the Inonu University, took over. In the program, which began after the opening speeches, academics and health workers who specialized in their field made presentations to the participants.
On the first day of the program, Professor Dr. Rukuye Aylaz made a presentation on the topic of Diabetes Epidemiology and Public Health. It 's Dr. Nurse Sultan Yurtsever Çelik gave presentations on the role and responsibilities of nurses in diabetes care and diabetes diagnosis, screening tests and types of diabetes.
During the program, Assistant Professor Dr. Mehmet Chavdar, Associate Professor in the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Inonu University. Physical activity and exercise in people with diabetes, Uzm. Nurse Yeliz Erdem Demirhan, Home Care Diabetes Management, Uzm. Nurse Yeşim Erden Karabulut also discussed the topic of Nursing Approaches in Diabetic Child Patients.
And on the second day of the program, Uzm. Nurse Yeliz Erdem Demirhan, Specialists in Oral Anti-diabetic Treatment and Attention to Diabetes, Chronic Complications of Diabetes and Prevention, Examination and Care of Diabetic Foot Wounds, Dr. Nurse Sultan Yurtsever Çelik will make presentations on the topics of current insulin treatment and nursing approaches in diabetes, management of diabetes-related diseases and chronic complications and diabetes and hypertension.
Teaching member of the Faculty of Nursing of Inonu University Professor Dr. Funda Budak, motivational consultation in the development of healthy behaviour, self-management support, Associate Professor Dr. Erman Star will discuss the topic of "Life in Diabetes" and "Psychosocial Support". Uzm in the final session of the program. It's all right. Yeliz Erdem Demirhan and Dr. Nurse Sultan Yurtsever Çelik will deliver a presentation entitled Diabetes Education and the Importance of Proper Blood Sugar Measurement.
