The Psychosocial Support Unit
Psychiatric Support to Hospital Staff
With both academic and practical medical practices, our hospital is known to be the most preferred health institution in our region. In order to achieve this intensity, it is important to meet the expectations of our citizens in terms of services as well. Assistant medical personnel at our hospital make every effort to provide this service. But in some cases, we see that they are inadequate. For example, our staff are transporting the problems they cannot overcome in their non-working daily lives to the hospital environment, which, combined with the intensive pace of work, causes problems for our staff, both among themselves and with patients and their loved ones. In order to address these negative patterns of communication and relationships, there is no psychosocial support unit that hospital staff can directly access to address this need. To address this shortage, we need a psychosocial support unit within our hospital that can be accessed directly by staff if needed.
Some of the rights that many patients and their loved ones have in health care are misinterpreted by their loved ones, giving them the impression that they have different rights over hospital staff. There are negative consequences of this process, such as being subjected to verbal and physical violence or being prevented from doing their jobs. It is also known that there are no alternatives to how our hospital staff can take these negative situations and how they can support their legal rights. This unit aims to support our personnel in these areas.
It is also planned to provide continuous, not one-time, training in the areas of medical secretary, cleaning services, patient care, safety, etc. to the assistant health personnel who are in direct contact with the patient.
However, events are planned to be held on specific days of the year, such as remembering the special days of our staff and creating social shares for the team spirit.
In addition to these services, joint activities with other institutions and organizations are planned for our patients who prefer our hospital.
Except for those services.
Increasing the motivation of hospital staff in sports tournaments, tours, concerts, film screenings, interviews, etc.
To conduct work on educational, health-related or financial issues related to the family of hospital staff.
